Email Configuration Outlook 2000 |
To configure Outlook Express follow
these steps:
- In Microsoft Outlook 2000, click Accounts on the Tools
menu.
- Then click on Accounts.
- In the Internet Accounts dialog box, click Add,
and then click Mail.
- In the Display Name box, type the name you want
others to see when you send a message( Ex. Iftikhar Ul Haq),
and then click Next.
- In the E-mail Address box, type the e-mail address
for the account you are using (This is your loginname@pes.comsats.net.pk
For example, "support@pes.comsats.net.pk, and then
click Next.
- Under E-mail Server Names, select POP3, and then
type the names of your incoming and outgoing mail
servers Put 210.56.15.10 in both the incoming
and outgoing servers boxes.
NOTE: Make sure you there would not be any "."
or space Click Next.
- Type your POP account name (your login name) and
password in the POP Account Name and Password boxes.
Click Next.
- In the Internet Mail Account Name box, type "COMSATS"
to identify the mail account you are configuring.
Click Next.
- Click the connection type that you use to connect
to the Internet, and then click Next.
- If you click "Use my phone line to connect,"
you are prompted to either create a new Dialup Networking
connection or use an existing one. If Dialup Networking
has been configured for your ISP, click "Use
an existing dialup connection," click the name for
your Dialup Networking connection in the list, and
then click Next.
- If you click "Connect using my local area network
(LAN)" or "I will establish my Internet connection
manually," you are not prompted for any additional
settings.
- Click Finish.
